On Thursday 7th March I was invited to visit Aberbargoed Primary school to look at a project they have been doing since January. The project looked at many different topics and used my children's book retelling the Welsh folktale 'The Giant of Gilfach Fargoed' as inspiration.

I am humbled at how well the book has been received; and to see the children re-creating my characters, as I did with characters from my favourite books when I was a child is so rewarding. I took so many pictures that it would be impossible to share them all but one part of the project was for the children to create their own miniture books and I wanted to share some of the covers.

And finally, you may be wondering who the winner of my World Book Day competition was. I am pleased to announce that I was blown away by the effort of George Jenkins and his Grandmother with their improved mask that they downloaded from the activities section. Well done George, I hope you like your new pencil case!
