I haven't suddenly taken up an interest in architecture, even though drawing buildings and backgrounds is something I really should practice more! The reason for the pictures of USW in Cardiff and Newport Museum and Art Gallery is because of a few projects I've been involved in this week.
On Wednesday I was invited back to USW to share my experience with the current third year students; on how their Final Major Project isn't just a module to gain a degree. It can be the starting point of a body of work that can be developed after graduation and help to start their career as an illustrator.
It was great catching up with the staff and a little surreal to think that a very short time ago I was sat listening to other graduates sharing their experiences.
I also started work on an exciting collaborative project supplying illustrations to Newport Museum and Art Gallery. The project has been in talks since late last year but was given the go ahead this week. I can't wait for it to be unveiled so I can share more about it!
